Guide for Customers Sending Cores for Inspection & Core Deposit Refunds

Customers are responsible for freight to send cores back to Diesel Pro Power, Inc.  Since only cores deemed to be rebuildable will be  accepted, before sending a core back to Diesel Pro Power, Inc. for inspection, please consider the guidelines below to avoid potential rejection and associated costs with shipping your core.  If you deem that it is worth sending your core back to Diesel Pro Power, Inc. use THIS LINK to process a Returns Of Goods Authorization Form, which will give you further information on how to return your core and notify us that you have the intention of returning it.

  1. Check for Completeness:

    Ensure that all necessary components, such as caps, fittings, gears, and springs, are included. Missing parts often result in a core being deemed non-rebuildable.

  2. Inspect for Damage:

    Carefully examine the core for any signs of physical damage. This includes broken rotors, cracked housings, bent rods, or any other structural damage. Scratches, deep wear, or corrosion on key components like housings, rotors, and end plates can make a core non-rebuildable.

    This blower core was returned with large visible chunks out of the blower rotors. The blower did not have to be disassembled to see that the it was not rebuildable.

    This blower core’s housing was had large scratches in it. With this damage the blower is not rebuildbale.

  3. Overseas Customer Notes:

    Be aware that you are responsible for freight and import duties when sending back a core. So please take EXTRA care to read this guide.

  4. Ensure the Correct Part:

    Verify that the core you are returning matches the part you purchased. Incorrect parts, even if they are similar, will not be accepted.

  5. Assess Wear and Corrosion:

    Significant wear, pitting, or corrosion on essential parts like housing and rotors often means the core is beyond repair. If the part shows excessive wear or rust, it is likely non-rebuildable.

  6. Packaging:

    Ensure that the core is securely packaged to avoid damage during transit. Cores damaged due to poor packaging are often rejected.

  7. Make Sure You Send Your Core On Time

    Customers have 30 days from the day of their order to return the core to Diesel Pro Power, Inc.

  8. If You Have Any Doubt Send Us A Picture Of Your Core Before Sending

    If you have been working with a sales representative for your order and you have any doubt about your cores condition being acceptable, e-mail them a picture of your core. If you ordered the item on the web yourself, you can send a picture of your core to sales@dieselpro.com.

By following these guidelines, you can save time and money while ensuring that your core has a better chance of being accepted for a refund.
