V71 Series Superchargers | Recommendations

If you are performing repair, or other service on the supercharger, other parts besides the supercharger should also be inspected. All of the seals and gaskets should be replaced, first and foremost. These will keep the seal around the combustion chamber secure, and so it will continue to move and perform efficiently. Having internal engine leaks, from old seals, will lead to bigger problems later on, if not addressed promptly. Any metal pieces related to the supercharger should be checked as well. In older engines (or new engines built we re-used parts) any washers and retainer rings should be changed, since these items, as tough as they are, will still change slightly with extended use. Don’t forget the general maintenance items as well. Replacing them when performing service can save time, and so if you have the engine partially deconstructed, consider going ahead to change the air filter, cleaners and inlet screens.
